This week I’m coming to the end of a three month residency I have been doing at Blusci, Arts and Culture Wellbeing Centre. A few weeks ago I ran a workshop with the painting class. I wanted the workshop to be some sort of collaboration, using my sculptures as a starting point and ending with something that neither myself nor the participating artists would do alone. The plaster, egg like sculptures were to be used as a canvas, to be modified/ improved/ added to, as they saw fit. To begin with we wrote words and shared ideas about what connotations we had of the objects.
